  • Demonstrate to your infant how the balls fit in the top sockets when locked. 
  • Show your baby how to wind the handle to release the locking mechanism and push the balls on to the ramp to roll to the bottom. 
  • Talk to your baby about how they can make this happen independently and encourage him or her to push the balls down the run.  
  • Talk about the different colours of the balls and the top sockets.
  • Encourage your infant to match the correct ball to it's corresponding coloured socket. Give your infant lots of praise for successful colour-matching.
  • Show your infant they can also balance the balls on the track on the back of the run. 
  • Encourage lots of free play - using lots of praise and excited, encouraging tones.
