  • So as not to frighten your infant with the sudden surprise - show him or her how to wind the Jack in the Box so that his head pops up. As a safety precaution do not let your child's face too near the pop up head.  
  • Let your child explore the toy and its various moving parts.  
  • Encourage winding and squeaking and show your infant his or her reflection and how to hold the toy by it's handle. 
  • Sing-a-long with the melody "This Old Man" and teach your infant the song too. 
  • Use the songs lyrics to help further your baby's vocabulary, body parts recognition and counting to 10.
